The Soundtrack of Wuthering Heights

I was thinking about the prospect of a Wuthering Heights movie (an actual one, not one of those flakey attempts), and consequently about what the soundtrack/character themes might sound like. I made a short theme for Catherine. (Which Catherine is it? You’ll have to figure that out). It is adapted from something I made for a film project for a friend that didn’t end up getting used, so here is the updated version with Cathy’s own flare. It was recorded with an artificial synthesizer, so the instruments sound very mechanical, but I hope gets the main point across.

  1. OMG I CONCUR WITH VERONICA!!! That was seriously so awesome, I’d love to see an extended version and have an actual orchestra play it! Very impressive, I really hope you keep up with music in college and beyond, it would be a loss to the ears of this world otherwise!

  2. OOOOH I LOVE THIS!!! I think it’s a reference to Catherine the First, I can really see her running across the moors and yearning for Heathcliff to this music. Your skills with composing and musical stuff never ceases to amaze me!

  3. I APOLOGIZE FOR COMMUNICATING VIA CAPS, BUT I HAVE TO USE THIS FEATURE TO CONVEY JUST HOW INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED I AM. MY INNER LIT NERD IS FANGIRLING AND I’D LIKE TO POST YOUR CLIP ON OUR AP LIT TEACHERS PAGE BECAUSE IT IS THAT EPIC! The interrupted pauses and solemn sounds of indecision followed by a depth of passion communicates the mood of Wuthering Heights so brilliantly.
